A Post About Nothing
Posted March 30th, 2008 by ColinNothing noteworthy or otherwise interesting to mention as of late, which to me feels like a good thing. The somewhat recent shift in my work schedule has afforded me a luxury I’d not seen since I started my job frying chicken for the colonel back in my high school days, free time on the weekend (both days as a matter of fact). I’ve spent the time decompressing and relaxing, mainly playing video games and watching t.v. shows on dvd, especially The X-Files (now watching season 3). And although not the reason for my series-spanning extravaganza, I not too long ago found out that a second movie is in the final stages of production and will be out in the summer, so I’m quite excited in anticipation of it. A little more down time and I’ll be ready to dust off the old guitar and get back to writing, an ambition left on the back burner for far too long now, and for reasons that had been given far too much priority for too long (workaholism, I’m looking in your direction).
Earth hour seems to have been a big success by any intangible form of measurement. For as much as I was looking forward to it during the week leading up, it pains me to admit I carelessly overlooked it and found myself in the middle of making dinner around half past eight. Like the saying goes, “there’s always next year”.
